Straight answers
Why steel over shingles?
Steel sheds weather, snow, and years without the granule-by-granule aging of shingles. It's the default roof on working buildings around here for a reason.
Is a metal roof loud in the rain?
On an open shed you'll hear the rain. Over a house or insulated shop with decking and insulation, it's no louder than shingles — the drum effect comes from bare spans, not the steel.
Can you put steel over my existing roof?
Often, yes — it depends on what's up there now. Call and tell us, and you'll get a straight answer when we come look.
